As some of you may know I have a new band with ROSTAM, CHRIS and CHRIS called VAMPIRE WEEKEND (yes it has the same name as the forthcoming film). We played our second ever show last Saturday at the Columbia RELAY 4 LIFE. It was a very positive experience.

We don't have any finished recordings as a full band but Rostam did a sweet techo remix of our first song "Walcott." He also made a nice website for it:

The song basically recapitulates the plot of the film but also contains trace elements of poetry.

no dude, it was to raise money for cancer research. Vampire Weekend does however support a CULTURE OF LIFE.

don't vampires promote death? I don't think you are aware of the implications of using/being associated with the Vampire World. Then again you could be a vampire and persuing some Renaissance Man lifestyle unbeknownst to us Day Wage Slaves.

Vampires promote LIFE ETERNAL or something. BTW, Alec, I've been thinking about Apache Indian and will post something peripherally related to your prose post soon.

This is so fascinating, looking back at when Vampire Weekend first formed! I am at Columbia now, and I was curious: what first-year dorms were Vampire Weekend in? Even better, what rooms? It would just be cool to know.

It's honestly such a shame that Ezra is now way too famous to become friends with people that comment on his blog posts. Though I would for sure choose to have his music over his friendship, he seems like a super fucking normal, cool, funny guy. Be my friend, man
